Setting up your Developer Environment

Welcome to Elastic Path 6.15.0, a flexible e-commerce framework with reusable services and rich out-of-the-box features.

Following the instructions in this guide, you will set up a standard Elastic Path developer environment with the following:

  • MySQL 5.6 Database
  • Java 8 JDK 1.8 (64 bit)
  • Apache Maven 3.0.5
After completing the setup instructions, you can:
  • Build and run Elastic Path Web Applications from the command line.
  • Import the projects into an IDE of your choice for development.
Note: Eclipse IDE

Eclipse is required to develop and debug the Commerce Manager Client. For Eclipse setup instructions, see 1. Eclipse RCP 4.5.1 Mars.
