Running the Java Web Start Commerce Manager

Once Java Web Start is set up on the server with the Commerce Manager, start Java Web Start CM Client following these instructions:

  1. On the client computer, click on the link to cmclient.jnlp file.

    • The Commerce Manager should immediately start. If the browser attempts to download the file, configure the browser to always open.
    • Running Commerce Manager from a downloaded cmclient.jnlp file is not supported.
    • Alternatively a start script can use javaws to launch Commerce Manager directly
      • javaws <url-to-cmclient.jnlp>
  3. Java Web Starts then downloads the Commerce Manager application.

  4. Accept the certificate

  5. Wait for the application to start.
