Recommendations

Recommendations suggest additional items that might interest shoppers. For example, for a shopper viewing an iPod in your store, you may want to display related items, such as iPod accessories. You can also highlight specific products in a node. When a shopper views items in a Digital Camera navigation node, you can use recommendation feature to highlight a set of featured digital cameras in that node.

Recommendations are lists of items, which are accessible using the item resource, for product SKU recommendations or offers on the recommended products.

The recommendation-group-rel name indicates one of the following type of recommendations:

• crosssell
• upsell
• warranty
• accessory
• replacement
• recommendation

For example, if the recommendation-group-rel name of an item is crosssell, the rel links to a list of cross-sell items are provided as the recommendation for the item.
