System Configuration with Commerce Manager Client

The Commerce Manager Client is a built-in application that enables you to manage online stores running on the Elastic Path platform. Users with administrative privileges are able to use the Commerce Manager Client to modify Elastic Path System Settings.

Setting Elastic Path System Settings

  1. Log on to the Commerce Manager Client.
  2. In the Activity menu, choose Configuration.
  3. In the Configuration menu, choose System Configuration.
  4. In the Filter, type in the name of the setting you want to change.
  5. In the Setting Name menu, select the setting you want to change.
  6. Click the Edit... button located at the top left of the System Configuration tab.
  7. Replace the Default Value with your new system setting.
  8. Click Save to apply your changes. Your new setting will take effect according to the setting's Refresh Strategy.

Requesting Search Index Rebuilds

You can request rebuilds for the many search indexes from the Commerce Manager Client. This is useful you want to reflect a recent update in the indexes before the next scheduled rebuild.

  1. Log on to the Commerce Manager Client.
  2. From the Activity menu, choose Configuration.
  3. In the Configuration menu, click Search Indexes. The list of search indexes appears, indicating the name, last rebuild time, and status, of each index.
  4. Select the index you want to rebuild.
  5. Click Rebuild Index.
