Important Planning Considerations

Review custom tools

Review any custom tools or deployments that you may have in your cluster to ensure that they are compatible with the updated Kubernetes versions. Issues could occur managing additional or custom tools in your CloudOps for Kubernetes cluster if those deployments are not compatible with the newer versions of Kubernetes.

Review Custom Extensions Repositories

Review any custom extensions repositories that you may have in your cluster to ensure that any Terraform providers used are compatible with the updated Terraform version. Issues could occur when managing Terraform resources in your CloudOps for Kubernetes cluster if those providers are not compatible with the newer version of Terraform.

Changes Driven by the new Terraform Version

With the Terraform version updated to 0.14.11, the following updates are also applied to the Terraform providers:

• The Terraform provider aws was updated to v3.30
• The Terraform provider external was updated to v2.1
• The Terraform provider http was updated to v2.1
• The Terraform provider null was updated to v3.1
• The Terraform provider template was replaced by the Terraform function templatefile
• The Terraform provider time was updated to v0.7.1
• The Terraform provider random was updated to v3.1
• The Terraform provider tls was updated to v3.1
• The Terraform provider dns was updated to v3.1
