Commerce Deployment - Manual Installation

This section covers some of the underlying architectural concepts that you need to know to design a manual deployment.

We recommend to use container technology to run the Self-Managed Commerce applications and services. Self-Managed Commerce is most often run in Docker-style containers, and Elastic Path provides and supports tools for building Self-Managed Commerce containers. These tools include scripts to build containers, as well as entrypoint scripts that configure the Self-Managed Commerce applications.
